Fall Bucket List

A bit late in posting this, we’ve already done a lot on this list but I still wanted to share. Every season we come up with fun things we want to try and do. As I mentioned in the summer bucket list, I feel sometimes there is so much pressure to do everything in a season, get the perfect picture, and have fun that we miss out on the fun and simply joy of being together. With that said here is our fall bucket list full of all the simple little things we hope to do to fully enjoy the season. Happy Fall!

  • go apple picking
  • go pumpkin picking
  • read stories
  • bake pumpkin pie
  • go hiking at least 3 times
  • come up with new soup recipes
  • plant fall vegetables
  • build lots of cozy forts
  • tell spooky (but not too spooky) stories
  • carve pumpkins
  • visit farms
  • jump in a leaf pile
  • make s’mores and have a campfire
  • collect leaves
  • make lanterns

Emilie’s Book Club: September

I love reading, it is one of my greatest joys and I was positive I wanted to share this love with my kids. I started reading to Emilie when she was just days old and we haven’t stopped. I am so thrilled that Emilie loves books and its such a joy to share books and stories with her. Because we love reading so much I thought we would pick a few books each month that we are loving or new books we have found and share them! Here is Emilie’s inaugural book club! Happy reading!!!Read More »

Apple Picking at Russell Orchard

This year we made our annual trip to Russell Orchards, in Ipswich, MA. We have been going as a family every year since I was a baby. I love now being able to share this special place with Emilie and Olivia. There is no better way to start off fall in New England than by picking apples. Russell Orchards has a great pick your own apple selection, along with farm animals, pumpkin patches, a farm stand store, a winery, and an apple cider press.Read More »
